  • Martial arts for kids 3 to 15

    Kids today live on screens.

They're less active, less confident, and less prepared for the real world than any generation before them.

If your child struggles with focus, shyness, or standing up for themselves, you're not alone.

  • Martial arts for adults 16 and over

    Want to do something active?

But most options feel boring, and there's no one to hold you accountable.

Something is missing, and another monthly membership you never use won't fix it.

Discipline

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

A grappling-based martial art.

You learn how to take someone down. Get to a strong position. Then submit them.

You learn to defend yourself using technique instead of strength.

That means it works for everyone, no matter your age, size or fitness level.

Discipline

Muay Thai

A striking and clinch-based martial art.

You learn how to punch, kick, elbow and knee.

You'll also learn how to clinch and trip an opponent.

That means you'll get fit and learn to defend yourself. All while staying on your feet.

Kids

  • A coach helping a child practise Jiu-Jitsu

    Homework without the fight

Focus built on the mat follows them home.

Parents often see better listening, longer attention and fewer reminders.

  • Two children watching a Jiu-Jitsu session together

    Friends from day one

Your child trains with students who cheer each other on.

Many close friendships start here, so they feel part of the group.

  • A kids class at Gracie Barra Leamington Spa

    Confidence beyond the mat

They learn to look people in the eye, speak up and stand up for themselves.

That confidence stays with them after each session.

Adults

  • A child smiling while holding onto an adult during Jiu-Jitsu training

Keep up with your kids again

Build strength and stamina without staring at a treadmill.

Stairs feel easier, energy lasts longer and clothes fit better.

  • Two adults practising a Jiu-Jitsu technique

    Walk home without worry

Each session teaches practical ways to protect yourself or your family.

These are tested techniques that work under pressure.

We cannot give you confidence

No academy can.

We give you a safe place to try, make mistakes, learn and try again.

Good. You have to build it

Each session gives you proof that you can do hard things.

Common questions

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Most students start with no Jiu-Jitsu or martial arts experience.

Your first session covers the basics at a steady pace. A coach will guide you and help you settle in.

What age groups do you cater for?

We run age-based sessions from age 3, plus adult sessions from age 16.

See our kids pages or schedule for the right group and current session times.

What if I just want to try it once before committing?

That is why we offer a free trial session. You can meet the coaches and step onto the mats before you decide.

It is a simple way to see if the academy feels right for you or your child.

Is it safe? I don't want to get hurt.

Like any contact sport, Jiu-Jitsu carries some risk. We manage it with close coaching and a steady start.

You learn the basics first and only move on when you are ready.

There is a free session with your name on it
